She is physically pretty well "rounded", starting to thin out! I just can't believe it has been a whole year! It seems like my water just broke.... One thing that I've been meaning to record happened back in June... Brent was at a restaurant with Stella and some old man came up to him and said, "Cute baby, he's gonna be a football player!" Brent didn't have the nerve to correct him so he just smiled and said thanks. So funny.
Stella took her first step the last day of her ninth month, by the end of her 10th month was walking very well. She now runs....
Stella LOVES to be outside, she has thrown crying tantrums until we take her out... even at 10 pm. It's going to be a long winter.
Stella survived ear piercing...Brent said I had to wait till she turned a year, well I did it 3 weeks early, so glad I got it done. She cried for about 30 seconds during the piercing and then hasn't really noticed them.
Stella LOVES playing with cherry tomatoes, picks them off everybody's bushes. She had one particular tomato that she would play with during the summer. One time I threw it behind the bushes because it was going bad, well she found it and continued to play with the bad tomato.
Stella has realized that her crib is just not suitable for sleeping, she prefers to play in her crib under the supervision of her parents and sleep right smack in the middle of their bed. We have tried to let her "cry it out" and she cries till she barfs and poops. Yea, we were those parents that used to say, "We will never have children sleep with us....haha"
Stella loves shoes (like her mama) We take them off for bed, then she brings them to us to put back on. She also tries to put on our shoes, so funny.

Stella is the best, we totally love this stage of her life right now! Brent is really enjoying his little girl and I couldn't be happier (even though I'm still sleep deprived)
Yeah, I remember people telling me, "Oh just let him (Elijah) cry it out for a few nights, then he'll be sleeping through the night no problem!" HA. One thing you learn very quickly as a parent is that there are no "one size fits all" rules. Every baby has their own little personality and their own opinions. We really need to hang out more often. I can't believe Stella is over a year old already. Love the photos.
ReplyDeleteSo so true, every baby is different. I love this post. So many cute pictures and I especially love how Stella really got into her spaghettios! Juliana calls them circles. Stella is so pretty, just like her parents!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the beautiful postings of Stella and the updates on her growth this past year. I remember with great fondness Stella's birth and the two weeks I enjoyed welcoming her with her wonderful parents! She is such an amazing baby growing into a beautiful little girl!
